GIPictures.com is an access point for content proposed to GI Pictures and Nehst Studios. We accept applications online and require a signed release before we will read any work. We also hold live pitch sessions in groups and One-on-One, as well as participating in other events and festivals – these will be announced under EVENTS.
Yes. Nehst Studios has already done almost twenty development and production deals from projects pitched in person and online. This is not a contest; there is no "award". We are actively adding projects to our slate and we are funded to produce them.
The GI Pictures project is built around a feature film. Nehst Studios is also looking for work in all media - feature films, television, and internet concepts. We will accept treatments, complete scripts, less than five minute DVD’s of a concept or yourself on camera describing your project, and completed films for distribution. We will accept a premise and synopsis, but should we want further information we will ask you to show us a script relatively soon.
GI Pictures will gladly accept ideas and scripts from beginners and all levels of skill. Nehst Studios has made pitch deals with people who had no previous experience – and many great ideas come from outside the pro community. If in doubt, submit it – you never know. In the future GI Pictures will make training available on a whole range of media skills. If you have a question about whether you should submit something - email us - info@nehst.com
You must be qualified to submit to GI Pictures. You must be either active duty in the United States Military, an honorably discharged veteran, or a dependent of an active or honorably discharged veteran.
For GI Pictures the term "dependent" is simply defined as the spouse or child of an active duty or honorably discharged veteran. GI Pictures seeks to be a positive force for our nation's veterans and the media industry; therefore we do not discriminate on basis of race, religion or sexual orientation. We want to give vets and their families opportunities.
If you are sure you don't qualify as above, go right to www.pitchnehst.com - this is Nehst Studios' pitch site for civilians. For those who've found GI Pictures and are unsure of your qualification, submit you work noting your uncertainty about status. If GI Pictures determines you are not eligible for this site, your submission will be forward to PitchNEHST for consideration. Either way, there’s an open channel for you to submit your work.
We recommend you register your work with the Writers Guild of America and with the US Copyright Office.
We really don't want to see it if you don't own it and have the right to sell it. If your work is based on another copyrighted work, or portrays real people we will ask you to show agreements that you are allowed to use the material.
Nehst Studios is actively looking for finished films to distribute. We have major domestic and international distribution resources. We are also developing a full web network for media. Nehst has extremely strong and innovative distribution and promotion strategies and can be a very positive force in the success of your project. We will evaluate projects, on a limited basis, that are in need of completion. Please submit your finished film on www.pitchnehst.com or contact us at info@nehst.com.
